At JLR, the transition to electrification is integral to our Reimagine strategy. But our transformation extends beyond our vehicles; it encompasses a culture shift, continuous training and meticulous detail to ensure we are curating the ultimate electric experience for our clients.

As we invest £500 million to transform Halewood into our first all‑electric production facility, Greg’s team are responsible for quality assurance, ensuring every vehicle meets the highest standards, providing the excellence our clients expect from us. 

Greg’s role as a Plant Quality Senior Warranty Engineer is pivotal. From coordinating manufacturing responses and warranty issues, to leading internal audits and driving continuous improvement, he’s helping shape the future of electric mobility at JLR.

His military background as an Artificer Sergeant Major shines through in his approach to teamwork and problem‑solving: “I progressed through the ranks and became a Warrant Officer Class 1 (the highest non‑commissioned rank) so I did pretty well. After 22 years, the body and the brain said enough, so I came back to Liverpool and joined JLR a few years later. It's important to work cross‑collaboratively during challenges, so we can reach a solution and see improvements in quality scores and performance, which is really rewarding.” 

Greg is also Halewood’s Site Lead for JLR’s Armed Forces Community Network (AFCN), supporting remembrance events, charity rides, and veteran outreach. He’s also a passionate STEM ambassador, inspiring the next generation of engineers. 

“The AFCN is more than a network ‑ it’s a community. We’re like‑minded individuals who support each other. It has many parallels with STEM; I get a lot of fulfilment from inspiring veterans and young professionals and showing them that they are capable and can thrive in this industry. I love coaching people and maximising their potential.”
